MEET THE TEAM
Indigo Productions offers a full range of services to the entertainment industry, including general management, project research, feasibility analysis, script development, production of showcases and workshops, venue hire, budgeting and financial planning, ticketing and marketing management, preparation of investment material, securing creative teams, auditions and castings, contracting, access to legal, accounting and tax advice, and management of all the logistics required in the preparation and maintenance of fringe theatre productions, film and entertainment events.
Ed is a graduate of the University of Oxford where he read Theology and Religion at St Benet’s Hall, specialising in Islam in the 20th century. Deciding against a glamorous career as a theologian or priest (even with the outfits), he founded Indigo along with James in 2016 and has produced award-winning fringe theatre, short films, comedy and arts festivals across the UK. In addition, Ed has studied Management Finance at the London School of Economics.
Ed also works as the Manager - Financial Planning and Analysis at one of the world’s leading producers of live large-scale theatrical entertainment, David Ian Productions, the Olivier award-winning, West End and International production and general management company. At DIP, Ed also previously worked as part of the production team on shows such as The Bodyguard, Annie, Magic Mike Live and Cats, in the West End, as well as UK and International tours.
At Indigo, Ed oversees all operational aspects of the company, including finance, investor relations and production general management.
Outside of theatre, Ed loves horse racing and is an ardent Spurs fan. He is also active in the non-profit arts and culture world, as a Trustee of the Music Boroughs Trust and as a Young Patron of the Tate.
James has studied at both Falmouth University and University College London, reading History of Art & Philosophy with a focus on non-European art and performance in the Late Middle Ages. James founded Indigo with Ed with the vision of creating a supportive, accessible and engaging community to provide young creatives with a strong platform to showcase and develop their work.
James has also undertaken work at the world renowned music record label, Decca Records, in the PR department and at AKA, a worldwide entertainment advertising & marketing agency, on productions such as Jersey Boys, Billy Elliot (UK Tour), Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and cultural landmarks such as the British Museum and the London Zoo. James is Assistant Producer at global live entertainment production company, David Ian Productions.
At Indigo, James coordinates programming and marketing efforts, and is the first point of contact for creative partners.
Away from work, James is passionate about music, playing multiple instruments and is an avid West Ham supporter - he tries not to let the latter affect his relationship with Ed.
