Indigo are producing, and have led a six month development process for, an exciting new one-woman show from the minds of Henry Asplin, (creative director at Long Boys Theatre and an Associate Artist at Goldsmiths University) and Ella Ainsworth, (acting credits include BBC's ‘Being Human’, ‘Hustle’ and ITV's ‘Doc Martin'). Indigo have overseen the script devising process and installed Cassia Price (Royal Television Society Student Award winning director) as director in this multi-media show that includes extensive audio and visual recordings.

After previewing on London's fringe theatre scene, ScaredyKat will begin its UK fringe life at the Brighton Fringe Festivals landmark venue, The Warren, in May.

Starring Ella Ainsworth from TV's 'Hustle' and 'Doc Martin', follow the hilariously absurd Kat as she battles to navigate her social anxieties by lying. About everything.

As the audience witnesses her story unravel, this bold one-woman exploration of the post-truth world poses the question, "How much of our lives and stories are performative, and how far are we willing to go to protect them?"

Across late 2016 and 2017, Indigo developed, produced and managed three sell-out runs of the

sketch-comedy duo ‘Camels’ at a variety of venues across London, including London’s only purpose built in-the-round theatre, The Cockpit. The duo were described as “a level above” (Joe Hancock, Assistant Director at the Old Vic) and “a masterclass” (Will Hall, Cambridge Footlights) as well as “expertly produced by Indigo Theatre” (Lucy Ashe, PlaysToSee).

Indigo are producing the London transfer of ‘The C Bomb’, the Winner of Best New Play at OUDS New Writing Festival and longlisted for the BBC's Comedy Writers Room 2018. This new writing from Katie Sayer, under direction from Agnes Pethers, enjoyed a sold-out run in Oxford and at the Edinburgh Fringe and follows philosophy student Chloe who discovers she has chlamydia and, in the interest of economising, decides to throw a party to announce the news to all of her ex-lovers. It has so far been described by reviewers as “a masterpiece” ( and “new writing at its very best” (

Indigo have produced two London shows of the Cambridge Footlight double-act show, Manhunt, from Leo Reich and Emm Downie. This excellent comedy show was A British Comedy Guide MUST SEE Show in 2018, and has been described as “brilliantly performed, beautifully written” comedy (5*s - ThreeWeeks) and “hilarious, simple, contemporary writing performed with flair, ingenuity and gusto” (5*s - EdFringe)

In 2018, Indigo produced, ‘The Blank Slates’, as part of the Indigo Presents series. A fantastic hour-long improvisational comedy show with the audience choosing an event which shaped the subsequent hour’s narrative! The Indigo production, according to The Tab “left the audience wiping tears from laughter, swooning over the adorableness of some characters and genuinely caring for each and every character.”

In 2017, Indigo produced a London performance of Studio 9, a duo who were regulars with the Cambridge Footlights, that came together for a month long sell-out run at the Gilded Balloon in Edinburgh to rave reviews that even stated that the pair are a “a hilarious addition to the British comedy double-act scene” that “would not be out of place as an upcoming to the likes of Fry and Laurie or Mitchell and Webb” (BroadwayBaby).
